How to Travel Naples in Style!
Just the other day we were making our weekly trip to Whole Foods and pulled in next to a shiny new Bentley Continental GT Convertible. The thought of cruising around in a car like that seemed like a perfect way to get around Naples and a surefire way to turn heads as you’re pulling up to your favorite happy hour on Fifth Avenue. So that got us thinking, what are some other stylish ways to cruise around Naples? Well, we did our research and discovered two ways you can travel around Naples in style!
By Land: Skeeterdoos
When we came across the Skeeterdoos Instagram account, we immediately knew that we needed to learn more about this company. We met with Elijah, co-owner of the company, and in true TNI style, conducted the interview in the Vanderhall, one of the company’s rentable vehicles. This just-launched business was created to fill a void of creative transportation that was (1) easy to use (all vehicles are automatic) and (2) affordable (see pricing below).
Skeeterdoos offers three types of vehicles: (1) Vanderhall Venice, (2) Can-Am Ryker, and (3) Jeep Wrangler. The Vanderhall seats two and is perfect for a trip to the beach followed by a stop at your favorite happy hour. Can you imagine pulling up to a restaurant on Fifth Avenue in one of these? You’ll be sure to turn heads and you might even have a photo or two snapped of you! The Can-Am Ryker seats one and though it looks like a vehicle that Batman would be riding through the streets of Gotham, this cruiser all levels of skilled drivers! Finally, the Jeep Wrangler is perfect for a group of friends or family. You can cruise along Gulfshore Blvd. with the top down and music blaring as you head to the beach for the day!
While the vehicles are awesome, it was the ease of the rental price that impressed us the most. Most rentals require you to pick up the vehicle at the company’s warehouse or office which takes up precious rental time. Skeeterdoos however, brings the rental to you! That way you can get on the road faster and use all of your time enjoying Naples in style. The pricing is also crazy good and offers 4-hour, 8-hour, and full-day rental options. Also, fuel is included in the rental price for the Vanderhall Venice and the Can-Am Ryker and the clean-up fee is only $15! To make a reservation, you simply go online, make a reservation, place your security deposit, sign the rental agreement, and then get on the road!
Pricing:
Vanderhall Venice: $169.99 (4-hours), $199.99+ (8-hours), $299.99+ (full-day)
Can-Am Ryker: $99 (4-hours), $129.99+ (8-hours), $199.99+ (full-day)
Jeep Wrangler: $159.99+ (full-day) *fuel not included

By Water: CycleBoat
So we’ve given you the best way to cruise Naples by land but what about by water? Boat rentals can be expensive and if you’re not familiar with driving boats, the experience can sometimes be more stressful than relaxing or fun. However, we found a way for you to enjoy a boat in a budget-friendly yet memorable way!
We were recently invited by CycleBoat for one of their sunset cruises and while we knew we would enjoy it, we were blown away by how much fun we had and how beautiful of a ride it was! To prepare for the 1.5-hour cruise, we packed a cooler of rosé (Megan) and craft beer (Matt) and headed to Celebration Park where the CycleBoat is docked. After a quick introduction, we were cruising the canals towards the perfect spot to enjoy a stunning Naples sunset and while we thought the pedaling would be no big deal, we were exhausted after about 10 minutes. Thankfully, pedaling is optional and the boat’s engine did the rest of the work for us. We spent the rest of the 1.5-hour cruise listening to good music, sipping on rosé/beer, and watching the sun go down. The cruise took us to the overpass that separates Tin City and Bayfront so we got to view the stunning homes of Aqualine Shores and the boats of the local yacht clubs. Once the sun had set, we maneuvered our way back through the mangroves and enjoyed the sounds of all the native wildlife.
Would we take another cruise with CycleBoat? Absolutely! Seats are $42.99/person which is a great price for a 1.5-hour cruise on the water. While we enjoyed our cruise with another group that had made a reservation that evening, you can reserve the entire boat if you have a large group or if you’re celebrating a special occasion like a birthday, bachelor/bachelorette party, or retirement! CycleBoat is also great about customizing your cruise for your group! Whether it be a different route or a longer cruise, Aaron, owner of CycleBoats, shared that they are happy to create the perfect experience for you!
Insider Tips:
Cruises are BYOB and BYOF! The group we were with packed a charcuterie plate!
CycleBoat provides ice and cups! Just make sure to clean up after yourself and don’t let any trash get in the water!
Bring a playlist! The CycleBoat is equipped with Bluetooth speakers to sync your phone to.
Though it wasn’t buggy that evening, we recommend packing bug spray though if you forget, CycleBoat does have some on board!
Before and/or after your cruise, we HIGHLY recommend enjoying Celebration Park! Located on the water, Celebration Park offers 8 food trucks, a full bar, games to play, and on certain evenings, live music!
