Fall in Naples Bucket List
It’s the first week of fall and even though we're still in swimsuits and our Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are iced, we're not letting that stop us from celebrating everyone’s favorite change of season! From coffee and donuts to tailgating and scary movies, this Fall Bucket List will leave you feeling like it is #SweaterWeather despite it still being 90 degrees in Naples.
So without further delay, please enjoy the most basic Friday Five ever!
Take a Tour of Naples' Best Sips and Bites
Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew with VEGAN Coconut Whip from The Bowl.
We recently partnered with The Bowl and fell in love with the quality of the ingredients that they use (all organic) so we knew this fall-flavored drink would be perfect!
Felix Fall-icis (Liquid Luck) & Pumpkin Pie Latte from Narrative Coffee Roasters
I think the key to Narrative’s fall-flavored drink success is that the syrups are made in-house because the pumpkin syrup takes what would be a classic PSL to the next level!
Pumpkin Spice Latte Donut from Peace Love & Little Donuts
It is an adorable tiny donut version of the PSL and we LOVE it!
Pumpkin Brews and Ciders
While doing a roundup for Oktoberfest in Naples last year, we got a sneak taste of Bone Hook’s pumpkin beer and it SO good! As the fall-flavored brews trickle on to the menus of Naples’ breweries, we’ll be making the round to try them all!
Naples Breweries: Ankrolab, Bone Hook Brewing, Naples Beach Brewery, Riptide Brewing
Seasonally Shop the Farmers Market
We always have an overflowing bowl of produce on our counter and with squash being in season, it will now double as a piece of fall décor! We’ve been focusing on shopping local and the markets are full of fall goodness even though it still feels like summer.
Speaking of Farmers Markets, we have The Naples Insider Guide to Farmers Market set to publish in October so keep an eye out for it on social media or, sign up HERE to receive it before anyone else!
Fall-ify the House
I am not a huge fall decorator but I did light my first pumpkin scented candle on the first official day of fall and have been making room on the counter for a pumpkin or two.
Trader Joes will always be my favorite place to purchase pumpkins and gourds because they are a great price and they have a great selection. Speaking of a great price, if you have yet to purchase one of Trader Joes’ candles, you’ve been missing out! Not only do they smell like heaven and will immediately fill your space with fall-scented goodness, but they are also only $3.99 so you can burn them all day every day (until Christmas candles come out, of course!).
Tailgate a Football Game on the Beach
We had plans to attend a game at Matt’s alma mater in Texas but with the pandemic canceling those plans, we decided to get creative and plan a tailgate anyways! With bars finally open at 50%, we are going to tailgate Naples style on the beach and then catch the game at one of our favorite spots, Sidebar!
Have a Scary Movie Marathon
Cliché, I know but Matt and I love a good faux-scary movie so we’re excited to order takeout and cozy up for a marathon of our faves! If you need any recommendations, The Everygirl has a roundup of 31 movies that you can stream that includes the classics like Friday the 13th and Hocus Pocus as well as newer flicks like Get Out and Us.
Please Note:
While most events in Naples have been canceled due to COVID, Mercato is still hosting their annual Hallowine on October 28th from 6-9 PM. Details and tickets can be found HERE!
