Traveling from One Paradise to Another with Jet 1

Naples is amazing, right? Beautiful beaches… picturesque sunsets… palm tree-lined streets…the list could go on but do you want to know what we think the best part of Naples is?

Leaving Naples!

No, we’re not talking about packing our bags and moving back to the cold, snowy North. We’re talking about the ease of traveling to so many tropical paradises from Naples! Living in Southwest Florida gives us the opportunity to take an amazing day and weekend trips instead of being limited to a single, week-long vacation.

We partnered with Keaton Phillips, the Director of Sales for Jet 1, to chat about our top three destinations that you can travel to from Naples with ease! While Jet 1 is known for providing private jet services to Naples’ affluent, Jet 1 also provides chartering services for those looking to skip the airport as they travel from one paradise to the next.

1. Key West

Though in the same state, arriving in Key West makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a calm island removed from the hustle and bustle of the world. Key West and Key Largo are our go-to for water adventures whether it be snorkeling, scuba diving, or lobstering. Traveling means you can pack light…a swimsuit, a cover-up, a pair of flip flops, and sunscreen are really all you need. You can spend the morning scuba diving, the afternoon snorkeling, and then throw on your flip flops to head to dinner. It’s a no-fuss, fun in the sun, chill type of trip but since there is so much you can do, we recommend a weekend trip vs. a day trip.

Day Trip: $2,700 Weekend: $5,000

2. Nassau

The capital of the Bahamas, Nassau is another popular snorkeling and scuba diving destination. While it is a popular cruise-ship stop and has touristy aspects, you can still feel the island vibe as you adventure around the island.

The most popular beaches are Junkanoo Beach, Cabbage Beach, Cable Beach, and Jaws Beach. If you’re looking to party like you’re a freshman in college on Spring Break then Junkanoo Beach is the perfect beach for an oceanfront party. If you want more of a remote option, then the other three beaches are typically quiet with Jaws Beach being the most remote (bring your own water, food, etc.).

When traveling, finding the local eating spots is always a priority for us and Arawak Cay is the spot for local seafood cooked the local way and if you want a souvenir to take back home, the Straw Market is a famous hub for authentic items made from the island locals.

Day Trip: $5,200 Weekend: $7,800

3. Exuma

Also located in the Bahamas, Exuma is most widely known for its sapphire waters and the opportunity to swim with the domesticated pigs that call Big Major’s Cay home. If you can only choose one beach to enjoy on your trip, the Tropic of Cancer Beach has the most beautiful white powder sand and the most crystal clear waters. To experience the marine life of the islands, Moria Harbour Cay National Park spans more than 13,000 acres and serves as a nursery for a large number of marine life.

Day Trip: $6,800 Weekend: $9,000

So where are you packing your bags and heading to? We missed this past lobstering season but have it on the books for next year and since we haven’t been scuba diving since our trip to the British Virgin Islands last December, we are narrowing down our dive spot in the Bahamas and are excited to be able to travel with Jet 1 for a phenomenal experience from start to finish!

Because Jet 1 offers a comprehensive aircraft management program, they are able to offer a variety of options to best fit the need of each client and each charter. The prices you see above are based on using the Cessna Caravan which can hold up to nine travelers. Great for a weekend trip with a group of friends!
