Q: What does lobster, curry, and gyros have in common?
A: They are all delicious and served from food trucks here in Naples!
The food truck trend isn’t new but it undeniably grew in popularity when Celebration Park opened just over a year ago. This waterfront food truck hub is home to eight food trucks as well as a fully stocked bar and plenty of yard games and board games to play during your visit. We head to Celebration Park when we just cannot decide what we want to eat or when one of us is craving BBQ while the other is craving seafood! Over the course of our visits, we have found ourselves gravitating to the same trucks each time and therefore missing out on the other options. To change that, we reached out to several food trucks with fantastic reviews to schedule a visit!
I Love Curry
While no longer at Celebration Park, I Love Curry was still one of the most recommended food trucks to try out and while I (Megan) have always loved Indian food, Matt had never sought it out. Upon arrival, Chef Di, owner of I Love Curry, was cooking up a storm in the truck and we eventually discovered that it was all for us! Chef Di had a table set with all the traditional aspects and enough platters of food to feed 10+ people. As we sat and ate in his truck, he educated us on the dishes, the spices within them, and other various details that made this dinner one of the most memorable. At the end, we were overly full with some of the most delicious Indian food I had tasted and Matt had been converted to the extent that he was then telling everyone that they HAD to try the food from the I Love Curry food truck.
Excitingly, Chef Di and his darling wife had two pieces of exciting news at the time of our visit! They are expecting their first baby AND opening a permanent location in the Bayshore neighborhood!
In our time conducting interviews, visits, collaborations, etc. no one has been more hospitable than Chef Di. He truly went above and beyond to showcase his talents and passions and a thank you from us is simply not enough!

Oh, and make sure to watch the video all the way through to learn Chef Di’s hidden talent!!
Gyros2Go
We must preface this by saying that Matt is Greek so Greek food not being served from his Yia Yia’s (Grandmother) kitchen was at risk for not being authentic. That being said, the Gyros2Go food truck has received approval from both Matt and his Papou (Grandfather)! What makes their food so authentic? Andreas uses the recipes passed down from his own Yia Yia guaranteeing that your gyro will taste just as it would if you were ordering it from one of the remote islands in Greece. We recommend the Lamb & Beef Gyros and the Lamb Shish Kabob with a side or two of Tzatziki Sauce topped with Bakalava, a savory, traditional Greek dessert.
Why did Andreas choose a truck to dish up his traditional Greek cuisine? Watch the short video below for our full conversation!
Cousins Maine Lobster
We had always opted out of this seafood truck because we live in Naples which means unfettered access to fresh seafood. So why opt for seafood from Maine? Well, in short, because it’s delicious!
During our conversation, we were itching the settle the debate…Maine or Connecticut Lobster Roll? Rumors are that parties are quite divided as to whether or not a lobster roll should be served chilled with a bit of mayo or warm with a side of melted butter. So what does does Jim prefer? The Maine Lobster Roll!
In addition to Cousins Maine Lobster’s delicious lobster rolls, we also recommend the Lobster Grilled Cheese and the Lobster Tots!
To meet Jim and learn more why he and his wife decided to head to Naples to open a food truck, watch the short video below.
Thank you to I Love Curry, Gyros to Go, and Cousins Maine Lobster for sharing your passion with us and for giving us a behind the scenes look into what it’s like to own a food truck! Be sure to check them out and when you post your foodie pics, use #thenaplesinsider so that we can see what you ordered!
Cheers!
