Friday Five: Fave Restaurant Week Spots

With two restaurant weeks canceled due to COVID, I was SO excited to hear that the local restaurants were gathering despite for the Hope for Hospitality Restaurant Week 2020. We can all agree that it has been a tough year for everyone but I would say that the hospitality industry has been hit hardest so a restaurant week seemed like the perfect way to support our local restaurants!

All participating restaurants curated a three-course prix fixe menu for $39-$59 so it’s a great way to try a new spot or to schedule an extra date night. Of the 50+ restaurants participating, I’ve rounded up the ones that I am most excited to make a reservation at!

1 Bleu Provence

A newfound favorite, Bleu Provence is tucked away in a cul de sac between 5th Ave and Third St. The vibe is quaint, the wine selection is extensive, and the back garden is magical so what is not to love?

What I would order…

Homemade Smoked Salmon, Chelean Sea Bass, Warm Pear Frangipane Tart (comes with Lavendar Ice Cream!).

2 Oyster Society

I LOVE oysters so Oyster Society of course made the list! This restaurant is located on Marco Island so I would suggest pairing a date night with catching the sunset on the beach! Keep in mind that if you’re planning a weekend visit, there are only 2 public parking lots on Marco Island for beach goers!

What I would order…

Seared Jumbo Diver Scallops (I would make Matt order the Oysters in the Nude!), Potato Encrusted Grouper, and the Lemon & Thyme Creme Brulee Tagine!

3 Veranda E

If you’ve never ventured off of 5th Ave. and explored Hotel Escalante, you’re missing out on one of Naples’ hidden gems! There is something magical about this hotel and the poolside restaurant where you can dine beneath strings of bistro lights is equally as magical!

What I would order…

Tamarind Glazed Grilled Octopus, Grilled Filet of Branzino, and the Creme Brulee Palmetto Honey Blood Orange!

4 Cote D’Azur

Another French option, Cote D’Azur makes BEAUTIFUL, vibrant dishes that are (almost) too pretty to eat!

What I would order…

Faroe Island Red Beet & Dill Cured Salmon Carpaccio, Moroccan Style Chicken, and the Crem brule with Berries!

5 Baleen

High-End Beach Vibes with a Seafood-Focused Menu

Located in the LaPLaya Beach Resort, Baleen is one of the few beachfront restaurants in Naples so of course, it makes the list! Typically, I would not spend the money dining here as the menu is pricey. However, for a three-course dining experience for just $39/person, I think it is the perfect time to expereince it!

What I would order…

Peruvian Style Ceviche, Short Rib Prawn, and Petite Bread Pudding!

BONUS: Naples’ Classics

The Continental

While we venture here often for happy hour, we rarely enjoy a full meal here so for $39 for a delicious three-course meal I figured why not? The garden dining is magical and I love how some of the tables are tucked away more than others so don’t be afraid to look at all of your options before choosing a seat!

What I would order…

Heirloom Tomato Carpaccio, Seafood of the Day, and the Warm Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts with Salted Carmel Sauce!

Campiello

A favorite of ours, we almost always make this a restaurant week stop!

What I would order…

Prosciutto Pizzetta, Cavatelli, and the Blood Orange Yogurt Panna Cotta!
